After removing the sensor, visually inspect for any signs of damage or contamination. If the sensor appears to be in good condition, use a multimeter for testing. Set the multimeter to the voltage setting and connect the black wire to the ground point on the car. Connect the red wire to the signal wire of the sensor and turn on the car. The reading of the multimeter should be between 0.1 and 1 volt.
